/24-7PressRelease/ - CHICAGO, IL, July 19, 2008 - The US EPA Design for the Environment (DfE) Program has certified all three products in the new Perfect Planet line of household cleaners. The DfE program recognizes and encourages the environmentally-preferable chemistry of all Perfect Planet cleaners including: Natural All-Purpose Cleaner, Floor Cleaner and Floor Polish.
Carl DeMasi, Weiman Products' President and CEO, says the company's goal is to offer products that are safe for homes and the environment, work as well as traditional cleaners and can be easily identified as "green".
"We felt it was critical for the Perfect Planet line to be evaluated and certified by an authoritative third party," said DeMasi. "The DfE seal helps consumers feel confident that, when they purchase a Perfect Planet product, it has a more positive health and environmental profile than cleaning products that do not carry the EPA DfE seal."
Since 1997, the DfE program has offered recognition to companies that use safer, greener chemicals to formulate their products. Perfect Planet products, which are made in the U.S.A., feature vegetable and plant-derived cleaning agents and contain little to no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). They do not contain any hazardous solvents, toxic chemicals or other harmful ingredients.
