A ChildTrust Account, also known as "Coogan Account", is a separate bank account that is required by law in some locations to be set-up by the parent/legal guardian on behalf of their child performer. For every paycheck that a child receives as a performer the parent/legal guardian must deposit a specific percentage of the gross into the ChildTrust/Coogan Account. This is a process designed to ensure that the parents/legal guardians do not squander all the money earned by their child performer.
