/24-7PressRelease/ - LONDON, UK, October 19, 2007 - A pleasing and attractive appearance has no equal. This seems to be the philosophy of nearly one million people who are looking forward to borrow money in order to fund their cosmetic surgery expenses.
A research by one of the high street banks estimates that these beauty-conscious Britons are collectively set to spend around 1.4 billion on plastic surgery. The breast augmentation and tummy tucks are the two most desirable procedures for going under the knives.
Improving the confidence level was cited as primary reason for going under the knives. More than 50 per cent of the people planning to opt for surgery want to boost their confidence level. 32 per cent says that they are doing it for medical reasons. Without prejudice, two-third of those planning to undergo plastic surgery are woman.
Paul Morrish, head of Abbey Loans said: "Whether striving for visible perfection or as part of a medical treatment, plastic surgery is getting more and more popular amongst Britons. We are seeing an increase in requests to borrow for plastic surgery."
