Pet Hospice Care Of North Jersey Provides Unique Services For Pet Owners

Dr. Robert Gordon provides Upper Passaic County with pet hospice care to help pet owners with elderly pets.

WAYNE, NJ, September 08, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- At Pet Hospice Care of North Jersey, Dr. Robert Gordon understands that pet owners have a special relationship with their pet, as it is another member of their family. To help pet owners with their pet at the final life cycle event, Dr. Gordon offers Upper Passaic County pet hospice care so that pets can remain comfortable.

"Our pets are part of our family and I want to help pet owners take care of their pets well into the final part of their life cycle," said Dr. Robert Gordon about pet hospice. "I will work with each family to provide warm, compassionate support for the decision to offer one final act of love."

The services at Pet Hospice Care of North Jersey are provided at the home environment to maintain appropriate use of analgesics and pain medications to reduce discomfort as much as possible. Dr. Gordon will work closely with a family's veterinarian to determine what services are appropriate and when a pet is deemed ready for hospice care.

"Hospice care is similar to human medicine, as it is intended for end of life assistance and home pet euthanasia. Many people inquire about the possibility of a pet passing away at home and I am available to provide those services for pets so that they can remain in the comfort of their own home with their family," said Dr. Gordon about hospice care and home pet euthanasia in Northeast Morris.

Before pet hospice care in Northeast Morris can be provided, each pet needs to undergo the proper medical diagnostic testing. Pet owners should also have had all of the medical discussions with their regular veterinarian. Dr. Gordon will work with each pet owner and the pet's health care provider to develop an appropriate plan to manage pain until the time comes for in home pet euthanasia.

Dr. Robert Gordon strives to maintain an open line of communication with each family member by encouraging questions. Each pet owner is an advocate for their pet, and it is up to them to make decisions for creating an end of life plan that will allow for a peaceful and dignified passing. While he understands that this is one of life's most difficult times, Dr. Gordon will work with each family member to help put his or her mind at ease.
