ARMIDALE, AUSTRALIA, April 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- International Mother's Day is celebrated across the world. This year Mother's Day falls on 9th May. It's a time for families to take time and thank mothers for all that they've done. Just like centuries before, Mother's will be showered with gifts and appreciation and given a break from one of the hardest jobs in the world. But, for Petals Network (www.petals.com.au) this is the busiest day of the year.

Mothers Day is the biggest floral event of the year for florists and floral relay services. According to FloralMarketResearch.com, two-thirds of households will purchase floral gifts for Mother's Day. "Petals is estimated to receive ten times the normal order volume" said Samantha Hammond, Operations Manager of Petals Network. "The Friday before Mother's Day is always our biggest day. We'll receive over half our order volume on Friday".

Petals has been preparing for Mother's Day over the past four weeks. Petals will have extended opening hours, full staffing and a new automated system. "This is to ensure all orders for Mother's Day can be received and delivered in time" Samantha added. Orders will be sent out through a network of over 1500 florists in Australia and New Zealand. Petals has been working with its members and its partners to ensure all operations will be ready for Mother's Day.

Customers will be able to order online, over the phone or through their local florist. "We have a huge range of flowers. We also have a range of gifts available through Grumleys gifts" Samantha said. "Flowers can also be order through our Charity Program (www.flowersforcharity.com.au). A portion of the proceeds will go to a charity of your choice".

With all this under control, hopefully mothers will be able to relax this Mother's Day.

Petals is a network of florists throughout Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and North America with one thing in mind, to offer you the best quality service at the lowest possible price. For further information contact:
