ADIRONDACK BOOK HOUSE
The Adirondack Book House (www.blogtalkradio.com/The-Dancing-Valkyrie) provides authors with a chance to promote their books on Blog Talk Radio, and for listeners to call in and speak to the authors.
The program is a half hour show on Saturdays, 6:30 - 7 pm EST where authors and readers can call in no charge at 646-716-8094.
While many shows are "booked" with authors new and old, some shows are open-mic nights when Klein will talk about things from A to Z and invites listeners to do the same.
UPCOMING SHOWS
On March 1 it's "Immortal" (Bantam Dell, January 29, 2008, 978-385-33974-2, by Traci L. Slatton takes readers to the streets of Renaissance Florence where a mysterious orphan who possesses healing powers explores his roots, befriends Giotto, Botticelli and Leonardo da Vinci and encounters growing religious persecution. The book has already turned the heads of publishers internationally. Ms. Slatton will be the featured guest to discuss her book, "Immortal."
On March 8 it's The Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer by Philip Carlo, Drawing on hundreds of hours of face-to-face interviews, Carlo who has been interviewed on CNN, reveals the story of Richard "The Ice Man" Kuklinski, who became one of the most notorious and sadistic professional assassins in American history, working for such criminals as Sammy "The Bull" Gravano and John Gotti.
On March 15 it's Story of the Sand - Novelist Mark B. Pickering conducted in-depth interviews with American veterans, including ex-soldiers from World War II, Vietnam, the Gulf War and the current wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. His novel, Story of the Sand, is based on what he learned from these firsthand conversations with veterans, all of whom displayed similar effects of post-traumatic stress disorder.
Pete Klein has been living in the Adirondacks for the past 20 years and has been a reporter for the Hamilton County News for the past five years. He is now available for book signings and is already working on the sequel to "The Dancing Valkyrie."
