David Harlow III, RPh, on "Accountable Care for Pharmacy Executives and Decision Makers."
Harlow will highlight new healthcare reimbursement models and how they will likely impact pharmacy in integrated health systems. About the Presenter: L. David Harlow III, RPh, received his BS Pharm in 1992 from the Medical College of Virginia and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Florida WPPD program. Currently, Harlow is the Regional Coordinator of Pharmacy Operations for Carilion Clinic. He is also the Director of Pharmacy for Carilion Clinic New River Valley Medical Center and Carilion Clinic Tazewell Community Hospital. His experience has included retail pharmacy ownership, home infusion, and clinical pharmacy.
His recent accomplishments include implementing Virginia's first completely remote hospital pharmacy service, developing a business plan for pharmacy integration into Carilion Clinic Medical Home Model, and creating Carilion Clinic's system-wide after-hours order management and verification program. He is also a legislative resource for ASHP and has either been quoted or contributed to a variety of publications.
