The royal accolade was announced on Her Majesty's 80th birthday.
Over the last 3 years export sales, (80% of total revenue), have more than doubled, resulting in the creation of 30 new jobs, with more in the pipeline.

In the last 5 years, the company's manufacturing business has grown by over 600% in response to worldwide customer demand for its laser diode modules and optical components, and it has invested in cutting edge manufacturing technology to give increased capacity and considerable gains in productivity.
The company's rapid growth prompted its recent move to new premises with a production area of 1242 square metres, giving plenty of room for further expansion.
A delighted Damon Cookman, Operations Director, added, "We have seen our manufacturing business increase significantly year on year, almost eclipsing our original laser diode distribution business, and it makes us all very proud to receive royal recognition for our hard work."
