(CARD - a leading authority on autism treatment) will host a Pill Swallowing Workshop on Saturday, August 22, 2009 in San Diego, California for parents and practitioners who are challenged by the difficulties of getting their children to swallow oral medication.
By attending the workshop, you will learn the effective strategies on how to successfully administer tablet and capsule swallowing, as well as cough syrup. Pill Swallowing workshop presenter, Richard Del Pilar, will discuss the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), teaching children how to swallow oral medication.
To make sure that your child is receiving all his/her nutritional needs, it is important to learn the strategies of getting your child to swallow oral medication. Therefore, the workshop will also cover environmental variables that can be changed to facilitate successful pill swallowing.
