The USVI Department of Tourism announced via its website (www.VisitUSVI.com) that it had launched "Mission: USVI Vacation," a promotion designed to benefit the men and women serving in the military. The promotion includes special offers and discount certificates for selected dining and retail establishments as well as exciting activities on the islands for active military personnel visiting the islands for five or more days.
"We are tremendously grateful for the sacrifices made by our military and their families," said Brian Woeller, of Pirate's Paradise Adventures. "As a military family, who ourselves have suffered the loss of loved ones serving our country, we have a deep gratitude for our soldiers, and we're doing this to give a little back to them."
The USVI Department of Tourism is providing a $50.00 activity gift certificate to military personnel, and Pirates Paradise Adventures is matching that gift certificate by applying an additional $50.00 discount for day boat charters taken by military personnel on Pirate's Paradise Adventures before December 31, 2011 for a combined discount of $100 per charter.
