/24-7PressRelease/ -- Staff from Plumb Center and Parts Center are helping with the search for the UK's top young plumbing talent to take part in BBC3's Young Talent of the Year competition.
Plumb and Parts Center staff, who come in to daily contact with 1,000s of plumbers, have agreed to help in the search by suggesting to customers who fit the age criteria that they should enter.
Each branch has been sent a poster, supplied by the show's production team at BBC3, which has all the details about the competition and information on how to enter.
The challenge is part of a series that celebrates the millions of young British workers whose skills aren't the kind to win them a million pound recording contract.
"Following the success of last year's series, this year, we're on the lookout for young plumbers," said a spokesperson for the BBC. "There are talent shows for dancers, singers and entertainers but what about all those who never see the limelight?
"If you are a talented young plumber we want to hear from you. Or if you know someone who fits the bill please get in touch. We are looking for someone who can be a true ambassador for their trade, who is aged 16 to 25 years, up for a challenge and wants to show the world their skills!"
Applicants must be aged between 16 and 25 on the closing date which is 10pm Saturday 31st July 2010.
There will be first and second stage interviews will take place in August when four finalists will be selected to take part in the studio showdown which will take place mid September.
