The weekly show includes interviews, news, tips and occasionally the couples personal take on real estate investing. The podcast provides an outlet for new and experienced investors to stay informed on current trends in real estate investing.
Providing quality information in a low key approach is the main theme of the podcast. "When we became involved in real estate investing there were plenty of people telling us what we should do and all of these wild ideas about what real estate investing was. We were looking for a more down to earth approach that seemed more like investing and less like a late night infomercial," Judson explained.
Get Real, subtitled The Real Estate Investing Show for the Rest of Us takes on the approach the couple searched for when they became interested in investing. A simple approach to investing that so many people are interested in but few educational outlets provide. The series began with four episodes where the couple explained their approach to planning and goal setting to create a solid business base for real estate investing. The couple is able to draw on their current job experience in the financial analysis fields to provide a logical approach to thinking about real estate investing.
"We aren't real estate gurus and we definitely aren't experts. We are just investors who heard the same questions over and over again from people when they became interested in real estate so we thought, why not come up with a way to get the real experts answer these questions where people could come back over and over again to get the answers," said Lynn.
Future episodes will feature additional resources to answer popular questions about lending, how to acquire properties and asset protection for property owners. Each episode is approximately 30 minutes and provides a timely interview, online resources and a new feature where the couple speaks about an interesting event occurring in their investing endeavors.
