/24-7PressRelease/ - WOBURN, MA, May 22, 2008 - For the second year in a row, Polar Design (www.polardesign.com) won a Horizon Interactive Award for creating a distinctive e-commerce web site. This year's Bronze Award recognizes the aesthetically pleasing interface and rich functionality of the HomeBin Discount Realty e-commerce web site (www.homebin.com), which has increased the company's brand awareness and conversions of visitors to prospective clients.

Polar Design rebuilt HomeBin's interactive MLS directory, crafting a more visually appealing, streamlined interface and programming extensive interactive features such as detailed home searches with proximity search, community data, integrated maps, and personalization. Easily accessible home search tools on every page and a medley of visual aids, from icons to maps, give visitors a better idea of the value of a particular home, leading to increased return visitors and contacts from the site.

The site improved conversion by 20% as measured by the InsightBuilder CT conversion tracking software. Additionally, Polar's performance based search engine marketing program based on link building increased daily visitor traffic from 0 in 2006 to 121 daily visitors in March 2008, with traffic continuing to grow 5% - 10% a month.

The combination of increased conversion due to the functionality updates as well as traffic growth have together doubled the number of daily registrants from 3 in 2007 to 6 as of May, 2008, demonstrating how a well coordinated, holistic marketing campaign, equally focused on conversion and visitor traffic can dramatically and cost-effectively increase site performance. The result is an interactive destination that sets our client apart in a crowded field, helping it expand market share.

About Polar Design
Polar Design is a mid-sized interactive agency with offices in the United States and Europe, founded in 1999 with the mission of elevating corporations' and non-profits' Internet communications. Our 25 employees serve the web marketing and e-commerce needs of Fortune 1000 and small businesses alike through their diverse specialties, from identity and concept development, to graphic and multimedia Flash design, to programming and database development. In addition to custom design and development, Polar Design provides a range of marketing solutions, an affordable "hosted" content management and e-commerce platform, as well as application hosting with twenty-four hour support.

Our branding and design services combine our passion and creativity with the structure of brand formation processes perfected through our years of experience. We craft more than just attractive logos or functional web sites -- we build brands on foundations of powerful, underlying symbology that resonates with viewers and contributes to brand retention. And yes, if a project calls simply for an attractive web design or a Flash animation that pops, our designers' and animators' skills are at our clients' disposal for small one-off projects as well.

When clients' communications needs involve sophisticated features or integration, we offer the technical excellence of a programming team that develops on both Linux and Windows platforms (PHP, .NET/ASPX, C++ and C#), led by our experienced software architects. On the other hand, when lower cost (but still robust) web solutions are called for, clients can take advantage of our pre-built content management, e-commerce and portal software available at affordable monthly rates.

Since we know that any client image, however carefully developed, is wasted if web site visitors aren't enticed into action, we also offer unique search engine marketing services based on link popularity development. The best proof of our methods' strong return on investment: participating clients typically double or triple traffic and sales after a one year campaign.
