Dozens of new features and enhancements have been added to POSitive GEM 5.5, including:

• Menu refinements make program navigation quicker and easier, reducing training time.
• The fully customizable touch screen interface now has additional management and security features, which make it easier to perform multiple functions on one computer.
• Enhanced Crystal Reports integration now allows custom report forms to be used for any transaction, including invoices, orders, quotes and service orders. Distinctive business documents are easier to create and print.
• The transaction log now keeps a full history of all actions performed on each transaction. This information may also be shared with selected video surveillance systems. Recorded video is linked to transaction details and allows videos to be searched by any item recorded in the transaction log.
• The Customer Center allows for better filtering of target customers for e-mail marketing and other promotions. More effective communication is a powerful tool for customer retention.

In conjunction with the release of POSitive GEM 5.5, POSitive Software has also released POSitive Mobile, a program that allows Windows Mobile devices to connect to the POSitive GEM SQL database in real time and perform tasks such as price look ups, simple orders and inventory stock count reconciliation.
