Power Woman Business Center Opens For Business

Business Incubator hopes to accelerate the development of small businesses during difficult economy

SANTA CLARITA, CA, January 24, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The new Power Woman Business Center, created by Hispanic advertising agency Power Media Group, celebrated its Grand Opening with dozens of local community members including business owners, government representatives, elected officials and civic leaders Jan 21.

Approximately 100 attendees shared in the official inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Center, which will serve as a platform to accelerate the growth and development of small businesses, especially during the economic recession.

The founders of Power Media Group, Patricia and Tony Gracia, received several recognitions from elected officials and business organizations for their outstanding achievement.

A representative of Congressman Howard "Buck" McKeon, presented the Center with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition during the event, and McKeon himself sent a video message from Washington to help commemorate the event as he was unable to be there in person.

"I'm not able to be with Patricia and Tony Gracia but I want to commend them, I want to congratulate them on the opening of their Power Woman Business Center," he said. "They started their business in their living room about eight years ago and now it's a $3 million corporation spreading the word of Hispanic buyers doing advertising," he added.

According to the Gracias, Power Woman Business Center was created with the idea of helping other small businesses achieve their same levels of success.

"The time of recession is also the time of opportunities," said Patricia. "We started our business in 2001, another recession, and look where we are today. Nothing is impossible. With the support and resources of this center many businesses will be able to reach success."

Power Woman Business Center also received a certificate of recognition from state senator Tony Strickland and members of the California Assembly Cameron M. Smyth and Steve Knight, which were presented by their representatives during the event. The Mayor of Santa Clarita Laurene Weste, and the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, also sent certificates of appreciation and recognition.

About Power Woman Business Center
