/24-7PressRelease/ -- Jori Parys, the 15 year old singing and acting sensation from Crystal Lake, made an appearance this week on the Star 105.5's popular morning radio show hosted by Joe Cicero. Parys, making her second broadcast on the station's airwaves this year, treated Cicero and area listeners to three cover songs she performed live from the station's studios. It was a short set but was a bonus to radio listeners from a local artist soon expected to become a break out star as she is completing her first major album and as she prepares to make her mark on Hollywood this spring.
Parys, whose debut album is expected out this spring, could not sing any of the songs from the still in progress album, being produced by local musician and music producer, Roger Adler, on the Vectordisc Label, so she sang three songs, easily familiar to the station's listeners. Beyonce's "If I Were A Boy," Rihanna's new single, "Russian Roulette" and Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" were all sung live with only Parys' voice and her guitar filling the airwaves.
She did not disappoint.
"I think she has a beautiful voice and people will be hearing more from her in the future," Cicero said about her performance, clearly excited by what he heard.
Parys is a sophomore at Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake where, despite her music and acting careers, she is active in cheerleading, drama and other school and community activities. But despite the full schedule, she is highly driven and focused on making it as a singer and actress, two of her earliest loves.
"Singing and performing are my passions," Parys said. "It's what I would do if no one was listening or watching at all. I just love it. So it is a bonus when I can do it and I know people are enjoying it."
With the album being released in 2010 and increased time in Los Angeles on tap as well, as she puts more energy in film and television roles, Parys can expect a lot of people, from coast to coast to be listening and watching what she can do in front of a camera and on a microphone.
Star 105.5 and Joe Cicero gave area listeners a glimpse of what's to come from this young lady. And from what he and others heard, it is clear Jori Parys is going to make a big mark.
