Everything in our mechanized world cannot function without lubricants. It seems impossible to keep this society running smoothly with polluting it. On the other hand, there are ways to prevent what is happening.
We all recollect the Valdez oil spill. Here's the start of some startling facts that should convince everyone to do something today. One gallon of improperly disposed oil produces an oil spill that covers two acres, which represents a million gallons of water. Two hundred forty million gallons of used oil, which is equal to two Valdez tankers, is dumped each month.
In U.S. there are 243 million cars, all using approximately five quarts of oil. Traditionally the owners change the oil every three to five thousand miles two to three times a year. Assuming a service life of approximately 100,000 miles, you extrapolate those numbers, it comes to 40.4 billion quarts of oil are used. Putting them in 55 gallon drums, this line of barrels would stretch between Los Angeles and Washington D.C. twelve times.
After seeing this, one must realize that there is problem and Amsoil Inc. has automotive lubricant innovation solutions technology.
