/24-7PressRelease/ -- Janice Russell, CPO-CD , president of Minding Your Matters Organizing, was recently named one of Business Leader Media's 2009 Movers and Shakers. The award honors business leaders in the Triangle community who are both great leaders and mentors in their workplace as well as heavily involved in their community. Russell was awarded this honor based on her community impact, business achievement, and her leadership abilities and potential.

Without having any previous experience owning a business, Janice Russell started Minding Your Matters Organizing in 2002. In an industry dominated by sole proprietors, she has created the most highly trained organizing firm in the state of North Carolina with two professional organizing consultants in addition to herself and two administrative support staff. In 2005, Janice became the first organizer in NC to become a Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic Disorganization, and in 2007 she earned the Master Trainer in Chronic Disorganization (CD) and Organization credential. Janice and her staff provide hands-on organizing services and seminars to companies and individuals throughout NC. She is also the author of a book, numerous articles, and several downloadable audios all aimed at facilitating organization with lasting results in others. In addition to garnering high praise from clients, Janice has earned the respect of colleagues within her industry including being nominated for the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) Founders Award in 2009.
In the Triangle area, Janice is an active member of Chix in Business, the Business Leaders Club, and NAPO-NC. In addition, Janice has ensured that Minding Your Matters has supported causes such as Strike for Survival, Juvenile Diabetes and the SPCA. In 2008 Minding Your Matters partially financed two of its' consultants on a trip to help organize an orphanage in Haiti. A return trip is planned for all three organizing consultants in December, 2009.
