In order to remain alert of changes in the field, Prof. Al Amri is affiliated with the Seismological Society of America (SSA), European Geosciences Union (EGU) and the American Geophysical Union (AGU). For his excellence in the field, he has been recognized many times, earning the Science Excellence Award from King Saud University, the Golden Distinguished Researcher Award through the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, the Science Research Award from Alamarai Co., Abha City Prize, Arab Admirable Achievers Award, American Geophysical Union Award, Sultan Gabous University, Tunisian Geological Society, Hawarry Bou Median Univ. and prize of the best Editor-in - Chief of Scientific Journals published by SPRINGER.
