Born in 1961 and coming from Tehran, Iran Amir has come a long way. Amir was the personal poker tutor of movie star, Ben Affleck. Poker lessons were a birthday present to Ben; and Amir was flown to the lessons first class on a private jet. Amir certainly showed Ben his best strategies and tips; evidence is Affleck's first place finish in the California Championship in 2003.
Amir has had numerous final table appearances, many first place finishes and a WSOP bracelet to his name. He looks good on TV too!
