We are gaining a committed volunteer and an outstanding advocate for young people learning life skills from our classes."

Getson earned a bachelor's degree from Florida State University and has remained active with her alma mater. As a board member of the Florida State University Torchbearers, she endowed a scholarship designed to develop leadership skills among the university's dormitory resident assistants.
