Prompt Proofing Blog Post: Humorous Grammar Errors

    VANCOUVER, BC, March 30, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Obviously, at Prompt Proofing we are in the business of correcting errors, but sometimes it's fun just to take some time out and appreciate the humour that certain spelling and grammar errors can provide.

For this month's fifth Friday post, our 'random' post, I thought I would showcase five of the funniest mistakes I've come across in my work, in life and on the web, for us all to have a little light relief before the weekend.

- Someone got a tattoo of the two drama masks, with, above each one "TRADGEY" and "COMEDY". That spelling certainly IS a tragedy...

- I'd much rather have a cold then the flu. (Well, unless you're wishing a double dose of sickness on yourself, the difference between 'then' and 'than' is fairly important here).

- A New York City school had painted on its exterior "SHCOOL". In case you were looking for somewhere to get a great education...

- A misspelled billboard in Atlanta advertised a company called Trophyland, which sold awards and plagues. Yes, plagues.

- A used car lot advertises, in large letters, "We BYE used cars!" Glad to see business is going well!

Remember everyone: if you're going to invest in a large billboard, or get a tattoo, or even if you just want to sound intelligent - proofread!
