/24-7PressRelease/ - September 27, 2007 - Punjab, a state with a rich cultural heritage, is fast flourishing as far as real estate is concerned. Mohali, a famous city adjacent to Chandigarh, has already earned the status of a satellite town.

Punjab real estate is seeing the entry of biggest names in property development like DLF, Aerens and Omaxe. They are all set to come up with their own residential and commercial projects throughout this industrial city of Punjab. In addition, local players are also making their contribution to take Punjab property market to new high.

Earlier, the growth has been slow and steady for Punjab real estate. However, the things have changed for good now. The property development in the state commercial market is much formalized. Punjab is actually flourishing on the back of its major cities such as Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Mohali.

Properties in Punjab are growing both quantitatively and qualitatively. Talking about real estate in Ludhiana, the city is seeing large money coming from its native sons gone cross-border, most of whom prefer to buy plots for the development of big houses. However, the city is not yet prepared for the apartment culture. Here, preference for Kothis has led most property buyers to opt for integrated township construction spread across acres of land.

Ludhiana is also making rapid progress in residential property segment, which see dozen of property deals clinching everyday. There is a strong surge in the demand for residential colonies which is both demand and investment driven. The property prices in some of the posh areas in Ludhiana are near around Rs 10 lakh per 207 sq ft.

Likewise, residential properties in Chandigarh, Mohali, and Amritsar are likely to witness an upward trend. Here, the latest concept in real estate is integrated townships.
