MILPITAS, CA, October 11, 2009
/24-7PressRelease/ -- Quantros, a leading provider of safety and quality software and professional services solutions for the healthcare industry, today announced significant updates to its Regulatory Reporting Management (RRM) hospital performance improvement solution to coincide with National Hospital Quality Measures (NHQM) updates for October 2009 discharges.
Quantros RRM will now include expanded tracking of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and emergency department (ED) measures endorsed by The Joint Commission (TJC). Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP) quality indicators, including Inf-9 for postoperative urinary catheter removal and Inf-10 for perioperative temperature management, will also be incorporated within the Quantros RRM solution suite.
"Our goal is to help our customers improve patient safety and quality performance," said Quantros CEO and CMO Sanjaya Kumar, MD, MPH. "We continuously update the RRM suite to maintain compliance with TJC and Core Measures standards and maximize its value to our customers on an ongoing basis."
Quantros RRM already complies with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) 2010 RHQDAPU measures and supports participation in systematic clinical database registries for cardiac surgery and stroke. Although neither the VTE nor ED data sets are required Core Measures, they will be tracked to provide RRM users with the most comprehensive, up-to-date compliance data available.
Existing Quantros RRM customers already receiving the benefits of an integrated platform will receive some of the expanded capabilities at no additional charge. By providing real-time access to a broad range of regulatory data and performance improvement tools, RRM users can cost effectively maintain compliance to improve care delivery.
