Jo Hamilton's book "For the Love of Scott!", available in the US, Europe, and India, has topped 30,000 readers according to Olmstead Publishing LLC.

August 28, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jo Hamilton took almost three decades to put her brother's tragic story on paper. In less than ten months, tens of thousands of readers have purchase her paperback book or downloaded the electronic version of For the Love of Scott!. People from the USA, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Asia bought or downloaded the book.

Scott Hamilton was a smart, talented and handsome Iowa farm boy awaiting a shot at a minor league baseball pitching career with the White Sox. His life was right on track. In an instant, Scott's dreams faded into his family's worst nightmare. His parents could not convince doctors and nurses in a world-renowned hospital that he was near death.

"For the Love of Scott! How could this have happened?" cried his mother.

"Jo, you have to tell people what they've done to me. You have to tell them!" pleaded
Jo Hamilton's little brother, as he lay writhing in agony.

For the Love of Scott!'s author just completed a book signing tour of ten bookstores and libraries in the Midwest in six days. Family members joined her at a number of the events. Jo even took her brother, Scott, a copy of the book and left it at his graveside.

Jo Hamilton hopes that readers will learn from her family's ordeal. Her moving and thought-provoking book also helps people recognize what they need to do when someone they love is faced with a similar situation.

Jo Hamilton will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her book, to the 1984 Olympic Gold Medal Winner, Scott Hamilton's foundation, The Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative. The initiative funds cancer research and supports cancer patients and their families.
