"It is with honor and great pleasure that I have been invited to screen my movie at the prestigious ARPA Film Festival. The Armenian community, both inside Armenia and the Diaspora has a uniquely beautiful culture with a rich history that goes back millennia. The Armenian people are some of the warmest and civilized people you will ever come across. Persian's and Armenians have been cousins for all this time and whether you are Armenian, Armenian Iranian or Persian, we share many common traits in our cultures. AFFMA and the ARPA International Film Festival are extremely important organizations in nurturing these cultures through the work they do in championing art and international cinema," said Sadighi.

ABOUT I AM NEDA Short Film:
June 2009 marked another turning point for Iranians, when mass anti-government protests erupted across major cities in Iran, following the rigged Iranian presidential election. The "Green Movement" was born; a vigorous dispute over the victory of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. These events provoked the Islamic Republic government to declare war on its own people. Suddenly, the world became a witness to some of the most horrific acts that were shown daily through major news outlets, Twitter reports and even YouTube. Many innocent Iranians were imprisoned, tortured, raped and killed for standing up for their basic human rights in non-violent civil disobedience. This short film is centered on the courageous young woman who became the symbol and face of this movement... Neda Agha-Soltan.

I Am Neda is deftly Written, Directed and Produced by Nicole Kian Sadighi. Cast members Mary Apick, Nicole Kian, A Poet Nomad Ali, and Vida Irani provide adept performances. Behind the camera talent include Jamal Farley (Director of Photography) and David Bartlett (Editor/Additional Photography).
