The company has signed an agreement with the Tucson, Arizona headquartered Offshore Group to expand the leased space at the La Angostura Industrial Park from its current 35,000 to 70,000 square feet. Currently, the company employs 122 direct and indirect laborers. A doubling of production capacity will eventually result in a proportionate increase in workforce.
According to the company's Director of Worldwide Operations, Rob Phillips,"The decision to double our operations in Mexico was fueled by solid growth in the North American and Latin American transportation industries, coupled with the operational successes we've experienced in Saltillo."
Phillips Industries is a leading manufacturer of electrical and pneumatic air components for the transportation industry, supplying virtually all major OEM's and aftermarket distributors in North America. Phillips has manufacturing and distribution facilities in USA, Mexico, Canada, and China.
