A practicing attorney for more than 40 years, Rabbi Robinson, Esq. first established his private practice in Baltimore in 1974 before relocating his office to Bel Air, MD. Relocating once more to Grand Isle, VT, with his family in 2007, The Law Office of Rabbi Stuart Jay Robinson, Esq., is now located on the grounds of The Historic Pearl House Farm on the East Shore of Pearl Bay. The building where his office sits is a picturesque, historically registered and restored house farm, circa 1830. Rabbi Robinson, Esq. has been a lecturer and published for the American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA), Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education for Lawyers, National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA), and various correctional facilities in Maryland for teaching inmates. He has received the Olde Towne Jaycees Presidential Award of Honor (1993) from the Maryland Penitentiary and a recipient of the Hartford County Bar Association Volunteer Services Award/Pro Bono Legal Services (1992-1994).

Rabbi Robinson, Esq. has served as an assistant professor at the University of Baltimore in Criminal Justice faculty member to both undergraduate and graduate level students. He was a member and faculty advisor for Lambda Alpha Epsilon Criminal Justice Scholastic Honorary 1975. Teaching included serving as an Adjunct Professor for Nova University and Towson State University, teaching Business Law. He has also lectured on a number of topics at legal seminars and served as a contributing editor at The Hartford Edition and The Town Crier and local county newspapers as well as hosting and producing several cable television programs, which included a political issue show participant (The Round Table) host for both, Focus on Maryland (news) and Sports Beat Magazine. As a member of Hillel, the organization for Jewish students, he was the captain of the intramural flag football team, which won the University Championship in 1971.
First studying at Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary, Rabbi Robinson, Esq. then completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland in 1971, where he served as the Student Government President 1970-71. He was awarded the Harry C. Byrd Citizenship Award 1971 as the outstanding male in his class. Scholastically, he was a member of Phi Alpha He is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), Gate and Key Society and the Kalegathos Society, which recognized campus service, scholastic achievement and leadership.
After Maryland he received a Juris Doctorate Degree (J.D.) at the University of Baltimore in 1974. In 1972 he was awarded the Outstanding Advocate Award and was a contributing Editor to the Law School Forum 1972-73 and a semi-finalist for Moot Court Team 1973.
Rabbi Robinson, Esq. was selected for the new Master's Degree post graduate studies in Criminal Justice at Georgetown University in 1978. Admitted to practice by the DC, Maryland, and Vermont Bar Associations, the Fourth and DC Circuit Courts of the U.S. Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court, and the United States Supreme Court, Rabbi Robinson, Esq. first started out as a law clerk for Ronald Shapiro and Alan Sachs in 1972. Rabbi Robinson, Esq. has also served as a law clerk and attorney for the Public Defender's Office of Baltimore City in 1973.
Serving on various Executive and Brotherhood boards, including the B'nai Israel Congregation, the Baltimore Zionist District, and the Chizuk Amuno Congregation, Rabbi Robinson also served on the Board of Directors for several organizations, such as the Hartford County Cable TV Commission and the Hartford Housing and Community Commission and The Hartford Center. He was also a legal consultant for Oak Grove Baptist Church and the Highland Community Association and continues to serve for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) of Cecil County 1994 and the Hartford County chapters in Maryland 1990-2007.
Rabbi Robinson, Esq. has been a member of legal organizations and Bar Associations, including the Maryland, Baltimore County, Vermont and Washington, D.C. Bar Associations, as well as being a past member of the Baltimore City Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He has also played several key roles in other important organizations, including acting as chair, co-chair, member of the special committee of gender bias, member of the continuing education committee, and lecturer for the Hartford County Bar Association. Rabbi Robinson, Esq. has been previously recognized by the Own Town Jaycees with an Appreciation Certificate, the Hartford County Bar Association with a Pro Bono Legal Services Award, and the HarCo chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People with an Outstanding Community Service Award. Rabbi Robinson was also highlighted in Who's Who in American Law on three occasions.
Rabbi Robinson, Esq. served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, Fourth Engineering Battalion, in Baltimore. Honorably discharged in 1970, he was honored with a National Defense Service Metal. Recently, he became ordained through the Rabbinical Seminary International in NYC in 2012. He has since founded the AKEDA Foundation, a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to making make prayer and worship, culture and ritual practice, and the study of Torah and its relevance to the 21st century available to all ages through personal contact, electronic media, and traditional media.
