Rachamim Rubin Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

Mr. Rubin has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the field of chemistry

BAT YAM, ISRAEL, September 11, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Rubin Rachamim a Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, Mr. Rubin celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A chemist who has studied and worked in the field for more than 35 years, Mr. Rubin has dedicated his entire career to research. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Bar-Ilan University in 1977 and a Master of Science in Physical Chemistry at the same university in 1980, he immediately began working as a researcher at his alma mater for four years. Making the move several years later to accept an opportunity to work at Israel Desalination Engineering, he spent another three years as a researcher at the organization before finally accepting a position at Weizmann Institute of Science in 1987, where he remains today. Located in Rehovot, Israel, just south of Tel Aviv, The Weizmann Institute of Science is one of the world's leading multidisciplinary basic research institutions in the natural and exact sciences.

Over the past three-plus decades in his field, Mr. Rubin has been the innovator of a direct irradiated annular pressurized receiver for solar energy uses, created a high temperature solar receiver, as well as a sea water treatment to inhibit corrosion and solids precipitation in desalination units, and has had breakthroughs in both solar energy storage by a chemical heat pipe system and in measuring the kinetics of reactions in the atoms and di-atoms molecule. Mr. Rubin has served on the European committee as an advisor for solar towers. Included in the 10th edition of Who's Who in Science and Engineering and the 26th edition of Who's Who in the World, Mr. Rubin enjoys watching sports and computers in his down time.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Rachamim Rubin has been featured on the Marquis Who's Who Lifetime Achievers website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
