Rad Upload is a multiple file uploader that is a drop in replacement for any existing file upload form. It is compatible with all the popular server side programming languages. This makes it possible for web developers to easily integrate the widget into existing web sites and web applications.
The new version of the product was created to improve it's performance with browsers such as Chrome and Safari for windows that are fast gaining popularity. Rad Upload has always fully compatible with Internet Explorer for Windows, Firefox for Windows, Linux and and Apple OS X as well as Safari and Camino. In addition to being compatible with all popular browsers, it can be used with almost any server side technology as well and can be installed in Apache, IIS and other popular web servers. Most current users will be able to download the new version free of charge.
If a conventional HTML form is used for file uploads, and the upload gets interrupted for whatever reason, any data that has already been transferred will be discarded. When the upload is restarted, all the data, including the portion that was posted before the interruption has to be resent. In stark contrast when Rad Upload is used, it's possible to resume an interrupted upload from where it was left off.
With the browse button of an HTML form only one file can be selected while the Rad Upload's browse button allows multiple files and even folders to be selected. When a directory is chosen, the applet can easily transfer it's entire contents and recreate the directory tree. To achieve the same effect using conventional methods, the user might himself having to click on the browse button hundreds or even thousands of times.
