RAII & Whitney Set to Host Free to Love Concert

RAII+Whitney follow up the release of the acoustic single, "No Worries (Move Yourself)," with the "Free to Love" concert on Thursday, February 25th, 2016 at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City, an homage to Black history month and love celebration.

NEW YORK, NY, February 15, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- RAII & Whitney set to host "Free to Love," a live concert, on Thursday, February 25th, 2016 at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City.

RAII and Whitney Keaton (together known as "RAII & Whitney" AKA "The Smiths") are set to merge the pursuit of freedom and love together in their forthcoming concert, "Free to Love". In the month known to celebrate love and Black history, the February showcase will spotlight the husband and wife duo will in a 90 minute set that spans classic Jazz tunes to popular Soul songs to contemporary R&B, celebrating an array of experiences and emotions in life and in love.

The couple will perform original songs from, "A Time for Everything," their forthcoming album, which features their debut single, "No Worries/Step Clap." The song, originally inspired by RAII & Whitney's personal life experiences, is designed to encourage the listener to persevere and endure challenges that we all face in life. Last week, they released an acoustic song and video to the track, "No Worries (Move Yourself)," a melodic take on the mid-tempo track inspired by the need to help people stay motivated and encouraged despite the hardships of life due to racial and social injustices. The unplugged format is offered as a homage to Black History month. True to the RAII & Whitney's sound and style, the song delivers a powerfully resonant vocal performance with a definitively sincere message.

"We titled this concert "Free to Love" because we realize that one of the greatest responsibilities we have on this earth is to be a conduit for love. We believe that the great deficit of love in this society is directly related to the lack of love that we have for ourselves. We hope that our "Free to Love" concert will be the first of many installments of RAII & Whitney events that will encourage, inspire and challenge our community to be the love that is missing in this world. If we all can choose to be love in our individual environments, we will be able to positively influence the world at large." - RAII & Whitney

The "Free to Love" concert, presented by His & Her Entertainment in partnership with Milk & Honey Productions, comes fresh off the heels of RAII & Whitney's performances in Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth in New York City, Soul Science Lab's Soundtrack '63 in New Orleans and Alicia Keys pre-Super Bowl performance in San Francisco.

RAII and Whitney are slated to perform on February 14th (Brooklyn, NY) and February 15th (New Jersey) as supporting vocalists for Emeli Sande as she opens up for the Maxwell and Nas concert. The couple will also be the featured musical guests for the Def Stories Slam at BAM Cafe Live hosted by Danny Simmons' (Brooklyn, NY) on February 20th.

About RAII & Whitney
Raphael "RAII" Smith & Whitney Keaton, together known as ("RAII & Whitney," "RAII & WK," and "The Smiths"), are not your typical recording artists. Although many young entertainers write, perform and sing; very few have had the opportunity to do so while sharing some of the world's biggest stages with some of music's biggest stars like Estelle, Chrisette Michelle, Rita Ora, Emeli Sande, Alicia Keys...and their significant other.

That is the case of RAII and Whitney Keaton, who married in August of 2010 in RAII's hometown of Chicago. Having met several years earlier, the two crossed paths during RAII's years as an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois. Whitney, an Urbana-Champaign native, met RAII when he joined her as a member of a local gospel music ensemble. They would spend the next five years traveling, performing, writing and arranging music together. Eventually, the pair noticed that their personal, professional and romantic interests had a significant overlap.

Beginning in 2012, RAII joined Whitney Keaton as a member of the Alicia Keys band. Together, the husband and wife team joined Alicia as her sole supporting vocalists. In the process of their touring, each is finding time to work on their respective solo careers. They are currently writing and recording original music for various upcoming projects and are excited to share their music with the world. Check out their first release, "No Worries, Step Clap" from their upcoming studio album "A Time For Everything." To learn more about RAII and Whitney, visit www.raiiwk.com.
