In making the announcement, Wayne Hayes, owner and chairman, said the name change was necessary because home security is no longer the company's sole focus. ConnectOne currently offers a suite of commercial and residential products and services including: commercial telephone cabling and data, commercial fire and sprinkler, commercial water management products and services, controlled access, and video and web interactive systems. In addition, ConnectOne provides a variety of consulting services to home builders and consumers for home media, lighting, vacuum and sound systems, electric utility services and monitoring services.
