Owners, Rick Braun and Bob Delozier met in 1983. In 1985 they used their personal savings and profit from the sale of a race car to obtain a starting location in a former pizza kitchen. Family members supported by donating their time to help staff the Dealership.
R&B Auto Center serviced the small town of Fontana and surrounding cities with integrity and began building a great reputation based on the service philosophy of treating customers like family. They joined the Chamber of Commerce in 1989 and began building strong relationships with local businesses. They quickly became a staple in the community, many city officials and organizations relied on R&B's continual support.
R&B gives back to its community by donating more than $35,000.00 per year in monetary and in-kind contributions to support a variety of education, children's and women's issues such as Loma Linda Children's Hospital, Boys and Girls Club of Fontana, Ronald McDonald House, American Cancer Society, Families of Injured Veterans of America (FIVA), The American Red Cross, Veterans Hospital of Loma Linda, Women's Information Network Against Breast Cancer, Humane Society of San Bernardino, Scholarship Programs at Local High Schools, and many more.
R&B Auto Center will continue to support their surrounding communities in years to come, by donating a portion of vehicle sales to organizations and charities.
With the growing concerns for the environment, R&B Auto Center's owners and employees have transformed R&B Auto Center to be the first Dealership to go green in the Inland Empire. R&B Auto Center has installed beautiful rockwork and Eco-Alliance Artificial Grass throughout the dealership and playground, all of this in an effort to conserve one of earths most valuable resources, water. R&B Auto Center has retrofitted most of the lighting fixtures with energy efficient lighting to conserve energy. The license plates frames and inserts are made from 100% recycled plastic. Recycling is a way of life for all employees at R&B Auto Center. Recycling bins are placed throughout the dealership for paper, plastic and aluminum. R&B Auto Center's Service department recycles used oil, tires, and metal.
R&B Auto Center is currently undergoing a green audit conducted by Workgreen Technologies, when the audit is complete and recommended changes have been implemented R&B will be certified as a work green facility. All cleaning products used will be 100% natural, all paper products will be 100% recycled, employee uniforms will be eco friendly and furnishings will be made out of recycled material. The main goal is to conserve all resources and be an example of how businesses and homes can efficiently and affordably operate in a green manner.
R&B's future plans are to build a 100% green state of the art facility, constructed of renewable and recycled materials. All power would source from solar energy. A big focus would be on internal water reclamation, reusing water from washing cars to water the trees and plants. Future plans include the building of a classroom that will be used to educate the community on getting involved to protect our environment for generations to come. This is a very attainable goal that the owners and employees are working on daily. R&B strives to go above and beyond in all aspects of business; they want their customers to feel good buying from a company that is doing their part in protecting the environment.
