Realityworks Employee Invited to Help Set Education Standards

Diane Ross, Senior Field Account Manager for Realityworks, will participate in reviewing the National Family and Consumer Education Standards.



    EAU CLAIRE, WI, April 22, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Diane Ross, Senior Field Account Manager for Realityworks, will join nine other reviewers from across the country in participating in the review of the National Standards for Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) Education.

The committee will revise and set new standards for the areas of study, comprehensive standards, content standards, competencies and process questions for FACS areas of study. These components help determine what will be taught in FACS classes across the nation as well as how students will be assessed. The committee begins late this month with the review of Parenting, Human Development and Early Childhood Education standards.

Diane holds a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. She has been with Realityworks for more than 3 years and has been instrumental in assisting educators implement educational solutions that make a difference in students' lives. She was selected to be a part of the National Family and Consumer Education Standards review by Helen Fuqua, the Program Specialist for Family and Consumer Sciences and related clusters of the Virginia Department of Education for her previous involvement in updating the competencies for Virginia's Early Childhood and Parenting State curriculum.
