Realityworks, Inc. Releases New Version of RealCare Baby

Company makes advancements with new technology and creates a more realistic infant experience for participants

EAU CLAIRE, WI, March 22, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Realityworks, Inc. recently released a new version of the award-winning evidence-based infant simulator, RealCare Baby. The state-of-the-art infant simulator is paired with a comprehensive curricula used for teen pregnancy prevention, child care career training, infant care and parenting skills, and child abuse prevention. The latest version, called RealCare Baby 3, has several technology advancements to make the infant care experience more realistic for participants.

RealCare Baby 3 has several new features to enhance the infant simulator experience. The Baby now has an embedded temperature sensing mechanism to record surrounding temperatures during the simulation. Sensors have been built into its clothing so Baby can record which items of clothing are being used and for how long. This teaches the importance of changing an infant's clothes periodically and dressing appropriately for conditions. And a new car seat detection kit uses sensors placed in Baby's car seat to ensure participants learn to interact with Baby and not leave it unattended in a car seat for too long. New lesson plans on each of these topics have been added to the curricula for additional activities with students. And the report downloaded from Baby captures all this temperature, clothing and car seat data so instructors can view and talk about it with participants.

"We are excited to release this new version of RealCare Baby with advanced technology and even more realistic experiences," says Timmothy Boettcher, president of Realityworks, Inc. "Over the past several years we have worked closely with several customers to learn what enhancements they think will be beneficial for the participant's experience."

RealCare Baby 3 comes in a complete package called the Total Parenting Experience (TPE). TPE walks participants through critical skills that address pregnancy, substance use while a baby is in utero, infant care skills and Shaken Baby Syndrome. Each stage of TPE has a curriculum and hands-on learning component to help bring lessons to life.

RealCare Baby, formally known as Baby Think It Over, has been in schools and organizations around the world since 1994. The RealCare infant simulator requires 24-hour care and will record if it is neglected or has been mishandled.
