    /Cambridge Who's Who/ - CHULA VISTA, CA, August 28, 2007 - Rebecca C. Dawson, a substance abuse counselor for CRC Health has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in substance abuse counseling. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Dawson, an authority in substance abuse couseling, has 13 years of experience in the field. Her areas of expertise include outpatient services, treatment and medical assistance for heroin addicts, case management, intake issues, the development of planning goals and providing outside referrals. CRC Health is the nation's largest provider of drug and alcohol treatment services in terms of the number of patients treated. CRC Health treats more than 50,000 people yearly. The company operates residential facilities and outpatient and opiate treatment clinics throughout the United States. CRC Health provides lifelong care to adult and adolescent patients through a continuum of services including detoxification, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, day treatment, intensive outpatient programs, sober living, community education, intervention and aftercare.

Dawson, a member of the California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors and the California Association for Alcohol/Drug Educators, is pursuing her bachelors degree from the University of Phoenix and expects to receive it this year. Dawson also has an associate of arts in behavioral science from San Diego City College.
