Rebecca Ming Hsu, MD, Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Forensic Pathology

"In the United States, not everyone who dies is autopsied," states Dr. Hsu, a forensic pathologist and former medical examiner. In order to provide aid to grieving family members with lingering questions about deceased loved ones, she established Hsu Enterprises, LLC, a sole proprietorship which provides medical record review, autopsy and expert witness services in the field of forensic pathology. Specializing in wrongful death investigations, Dr. Hsu determines the cause and manner of death for medical and legal reasons. She also provides lectures and teaching in the area of Forensic Pathology, and handles all aspects of her company and its operations.

In 1989, Dr. Hsu earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Columbia University. Having always had a scientific interest in the mysterious aspects of medicine, she went on to earn an MD from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, and, to be fully able to understand the human side of death, she also earned an associate degree in mortuary science from Mesa Community College. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and American Medical Women's Association. Dr. Hsu intends to pursue additional writing and teaching opportunities in the coming years, while continuing to hone her skills in pathology and mortuary science. When not working, she enjoys playing a number of musical instruments, archery, fencing and spending time with her family.
