/24-7PressRelease/ -- King Ryan Events hosted the IShowcase Music Exhibition this past Saturday night in Hollywood, an event that was co-sponsored by one of the music industry's biggest record labels, Jive Records. Appearing at the event were 17 of the hottest rising music acts in the industry, including singing sensation, Michelle Monica. The singers performed to a standing room only crowd at one of Hollywood's hottest nightclubs, Cinespace and while all received great recognition from the audience and industry judges, few generated the energy, excitement and response that Monica did, as she wowed everyone in attendance with her high-energy performance. That response was rewarded by the judges, who included a Jive Records executive and two veteran music producers, as they selected Monica as one of only four acts to return to the stage for an encore performance. And she did not disappoint with that final performance, showing everyone in attendance why she is a musical force destined for major recognition.
"This was a really great event and I was honored to perform on a night with so many other talented singers," Monica said afterwards. "The energy in the room was fantastic and I just wanted to show people what I can do. I love being on the stage and performing. It is what I feel I am supposed to be doing with my life."
Monica's love for music was obvious. She took the stage initially singing two of the most popular songs from her debut album, "Love Me Today." Monica is an all-around talent and wrote all of the songs on that album, and is also an accomplished piano player, as she demonstrated in her encore song. Also a fashion designer, she wowed the crowd with a black, sexy dress she designed herself. She is, as the saying goes, "the whole package."
Michelle Monica is a veteran performer, having been singing before audiences since she was a little girl. Since then she has appeared before whole stadiums of people, performed with Nicole Sherzinger (The Pussycat Dolls), Courtney Love and Slash, had a successful run on "American Idol - Season 7," been a finalist on Oprah's "Pop Star Challenge," and performed many times in some of L.A's hottest music venues. So she has been paying her dues for a long time in her young life, and it looks like her time has about come to make it at the highest level. Saturday night in Hollywood, she made it clear in a crowd of many, she is the real deal and can stand above the crowd. Michelle Monica is a name to remember.
