RecruitEU Limited, which specialises in volume recruitment from the new Eastern European accession states, has announced the implementation of the QORA system to provide role specific English (RSE) testing for candidates applying for work in the UK.
QORA was introduced to meet RecruitEU's larger corporate clients' needs to objectively assess candidates' English skills. The system is computer based and allows RecruitEU's partner agents in Eastern Europe to test candidates in their local offices. Test results are held on RecruitEU's central candidate database as a permanent record for client reference purposes.
QORA may be used to test comprehension of written and spoken language and information carrying images. As well as RSE testing, RecruitEU plans to use QORA to test other role specific requirements such as, in the case of HGV and bus drivers, understanding of British road signs and the Highway Code.
