/24-7PressRelease/ - ANNAPOLIS, MD, April 30, 2008 - Recruiting a New Generation of Environmental Leaders: Bright Green Talent Expands Reach to Mid-Atlantic Region

While people agree that climate change is a global emergency, there's far less consensus as to how to fix the world's environmental problems. Which raises the question, "What would a business plan to combat climate change look like - one that would leave us both environmentally safe and economically sound?" It could well look like identifying, developing, and hiring leaders that can bring about the massive changes required to redress global warming. Bright Green Talent identifies and places environmental leaders - both emerging and experienced - in organizations throughout the world for a greener, more sustainable future.

Founded in early 2007, Bright Green Talent provides executive search and recruitment services to environmentally-focused industries. Bright Green's clients are not constrained to any one industry, and include NGO/non-profit organizations, cleantech firms, green building consultancies, venture capital firms, environmental engineering groups, and carbon trading operations. With offices in London and San Francisco, Bright Green is able to source and place top-flight talent worldwide, helping organizations hire top green talent, implement green practices, improve efficiencies, and increase profitability.

To better serve its Mid-Atlantic region clients, Bright Green has recently placed a representative in Washington, D.C.

Carolyn Hill is Bright Green Talent's Washington, D.C. representative. Ms. Hill draws on her experiences in the ecotourism, non-profit, development, and retail sectors to expand the talent recruitment efforts in the Mid-Atlantic region. "Carolyn brings a wealth of experience and industry relationships that will help build long-term relationships with clients who are seeking top tier talent services," said Nick Ellis, Bright Green's US Managing Partner.

Bright Green Talent was founded by Paul Hannam and Tom Savage. They met at Oxford University in 2003 where Paul was an Associate Fellow at the Environmental Change Institute and Tom a post-graduate at the Said Business School. Despite their 20-year age gap, Tom and Paul shared a common vision - to create a global organization that channeled top talent into environmental careers in order to help solve the planet's most pressing problems.

The Chairman, Paul Hannam, founded a successful technology recruitment and training business, as well as taught environmental business at Oxford. Paul is a writer, executive coach, and owns a number of green businesses worldwide.

Managing Director Tom Savage runs Bright Green Talent in Europe and has significant experience as a social entrepreneur and campaigner for responsible business, starting two social businesses and winning the prestigious Edge Upstarts Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year in 2007.

Managing Director Nick Ellis draws on his experiences at Stanford University and the London School of Economics to lead Bright Green's effort in the United States. Before joining Bright Green Talent, Nick worked as an investment banker pioneering the use of clean renewable energy bonds to finance municipal power projects.
