/24-7PressRelease/ -- While the US economic growth in the second quarter of 2010 was slower than expected, several local business indicators look strong. The Carlisle Group (TCG), a premier global executive search and recruitment firm on State Avenue in Carlisle, PA, reports continuing growth and a 2010 increase in employment activity in a number of sectors.
"Right now, we're on track with current revenue that's only 4% behind our highest revenue-earning year ever (2008)," says TCG President/CEO, Bert Wendeln. The company's current annual revenue is up 69% over 2009. At the end of the first half of 2010, the office was ranked #39 within its global network of more than 950 executive recruitment firms.
This level of achievement has been standard throughout the firm's history. Tony Frey, Vice President, has been with the company since 1998. He was recently recognized as the #2 Top Executive of the Decade, honoring his proven 10-year track record of outstanding sales achievement.
Frey runs one of the company's most profitable teams. Among other client projects, he is currently working on a large-scale recruitment project to find talent from across the country and relocate these individuals to this area. Tony and his team are filling corporate positions at the new Carlisle headquarters for the $25 billion grocery retailer, Ahold USA Retail, who has been a TCG client for 12 years.
TCG has increased its national presence within the manufacturing, insurance and healthcare sectors as well. TCG recently worked with one of the region's top commercial insurers to fill its critical Chief Marketing Officer position.
The company increased its staffing in 2009 and currently employs 12 full-time staff plus two summer interns. In a bullish stance, Wendeln is actively interviewing and plans to continue increasing his Executive Recruitment team. The company's most recent hire, Brenda Reyes, has been named Director of Marketing, demonstrating the company's commitment to capturing higher market share in 2010.
Wendeln has been working in the recruitment industry since 1996 and serves on multiple recruiting industry boards. Following a recent regional conference, he says top search firms nationwide are reporting sharp increases in business that began in the first quarter of 2010.
