Red Ten NYC Launch Government Backed Campaign in Boston

Outsourced sales and marketing company Red Ten NYC have signed a deal with Assurance Wireless in a Government-backed campaign to provide phones for underprivileged households in the Boston area.
    NEW YORK, NY, March 28, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Red Ten NYC recently opened new branches in Boston and Dallas due to the firm's success in generating customers for telecoms clients in New York City.

Assurance Wireless is a federal Lifeline Assistance program provided by Virgin Mobile. The service that is available to individuals who may otherwise struggle to afford a phone connection. Typically beneficiaries will be on public assistance programs such as medical or housing aid. Households that qualify will receive a free cell phone with 250 free minutes and text messages per month. Assurance Wireless has run successfully in Massachusetts since September 2011 and Red Ten NYC are excited to help assist their marketing reach in the Boston area. Assurance Wireless' statistics report that Massachusetts is home to over 210,000 unemployed people who would be eligible for the Assurance Wireless program. Boston is the most populous city in the state with a population of 618,147 in 2011, of which 21% live below the poverty line. Red Ten NYC will supplement these with direct marketing strategies, whereby representatives interact directly with individuals where they work, live or shop. Much of our target market is seriously economically disadvantaged, and as such is not always reachable through traditional channels of communication. Our approach will be to target eligible communities and individuals and directly bring the service to them. The face-to-face approach allows the customers to ask questions and register with the service immediately."

The US telecommunications industry is huge business, accounting for $1.1 trillion spending in 2012 according to the Telecoms Industry Association. Assurance Wireless estimates that if the 28.5 million adults eligible for Lifeline Assistance received the service, an additional $3.7 billion would be available to economically disadvantaged people. Red Ten NYC is confident that with their proven track record dealing with telecoms clients, they will be able to bring between 8000 and 11,000 new service users per year.

Red Ten NYC will launch the Assurance Wireless campaign in Boston, MA on April 1st and in Dallas, TX later in the month.
