Virtual TimeClock Pro 6 will continue to be available as a stand alone time clock or as a networked time clock client. A new Personal Edition client joins the Pro client, giving businesses the choice of deploying centrally located time clock stations or secure, low cost, personal time clocks on each employee's computer.
The Virtual TimeClock Pro Server was rewritten from the ground up for version 6.0 to run securely as a background service on Microsoft Windows and Macintosh based servers. A new embedded SQL database has been optimized to run large company-wide time clock deployments blazingly fast. A new TimeClock Server Manager application maintains quick and easy administration of the new Virtual TimeClock background server.
New features in Virtual TimeClock Pro 6.0 include a 'groups' function that allows TimeClock users to be viewed and managed by department or location. Overtime and deduction settings for multiple employee classifications are now supported, as well as the ability to add new leave categories and track unpaid tasks and leave benefits. Security has been enhanced, allowing businesses to fine tune user and manager access to entries, editing and printing. The entire Virtual TimeClock 6.0 application suite now runs as a Universal Binary on Mac OS X computers.
Virtual TimeClock 6.0 will ship in the 3rd quarter of 2008. Pricing starts at $195. Customers who purchase Virtual TimeClock 5.6 after June 1, 2008 will receive a free upgrade to Virtual TimeClock Pro 6.0 when it ships later this summer. Details are available online at http://redcort.com/timeclock6
