BOWIE, MD, February 14, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Reginald Tarpley, Senior Pastor of Mount Calvary UMC and Cecil Memorial UMC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in spiritual services.

As a senior pastor of Mount Calvary UMC and Cecil Memorial UMCm Rev. Tarpley has 10 years of experience helping the sick and shut-in of his parish, as well as leading Bible study sessions. He serves as a life coach for members of his congregation, and presides over regular services, weddings and funerals. A devoted mentor, Rev. Tarpley provides community outreach and counseling services for those that are in need, as well as for a local elementary school. He became involved in his profession because it was his passion and a calling to preach to the world and help people.

Rev. Tarpley has completed doctoral coursework at United Theological Seminary, having received a Master of Divinity from the Howard University School of Divinity in 2010 and a master's degree in organizational leadership from Nyack College in 2008; Bachelors of Arts in Religious Education, Southwestern Christian College, TX in 1990. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma and the NAACP. In years to come, the Rev. Tarpley hopes to teach at a seminary college and be a life coach and guide for struggling churches.
