RALEIGH, NC, September 11, 2009
/24-7PressRelease/ -- The North Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (NCPRSA) is pleased to announce a slightly revamped format for the Public Relations & Marketing Seminar 2009, to be held Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill. In addition to presentations on timely topics from experienced and accredited speakers, this year's seminar will also offer a series of round-table discussions. These round tables will not only offer usable strategy but will provide and arena for open discussion if attendees have an issue or topic that requires expert counsel.
This is the eighth year NCPRSA is presenting this full-day seminar. This year's partner associations include the International Association of Business Communicators Triangle Chapter, Raleigh Public Relations Society, and the Charlotte and Nashville Chapters of PRSA.
This year's presentation and round-table topics will include social media, business development, accreditation, client satisfaction, co-marketing programs, integrated pitches, interactive marketing, green practices, sustainability, nonprofit PR and marketing, and more.
Attendees will hear from top executives and industry experts from leading organizations such as Business Wire, The Catevo Group, Cree, Fleishman-Hillard, French/West/Vaughn, Glaxo SmithKline, Ignite Social Media, Luquire George Andrews, RLF Communications, S&A Cherokee, Morningstar Communications, RDU International Airport and WakeMed.
In addition to selecting from concurrent educational sessions and round-table discussions, attendees will also hear a keynote address from Eric Morgenstern, APR, Fellow PRSA on the topic "The Brand Called You."
"This is the only seminar of its kind in the Southeast," said NCPRSA Seminar Chair Chuck Norman, APR. "Rated year after year as 'extremely valuable' by our participants, this high-quality, reasonably priced program is a must for public relations, marketing and advertising professionals who want to keep up with the latest developments in the industry and not break their professional development budgets in the process."
Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided as part of the registration fee. Although the agenda is packed with informational sessions, there will be plenty of time for networking with peers and professionals.
