    CLEVELAND, OH, March 01, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David Burge has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With a focus on patent and trademark law, Mr. Burge has been excelling as a registered patent attorney in the Cleveland region for the last 46 years. Highly regarded for his professionalism and his commendable work ethic, he is known for the projects performed outside of his private practice. He has written articles for the American Bar Association and many engineering industry magazines including Machine Design. Mr. Burge is the author of "Patent and Trademark Tactics and Practice," 3rd Editions," and the "Design Patent Handbook." In addition, he has contributed chapters to various John Wiley & Sons Engineering Handbooks since 1986. Mr. Burge has been recognized nationally for his work in the field of patent law over the past four decades. Most recently, he was selected for inclusion into Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the World.

Mr. Burge knew from a young age that he wanted to enter the field of patent law. His father was the lead inventor n over two dozen patents that had been obtained by the Delco Remy division of General Motors and who continued to be an inventor throughout the years; when the Burge family owned a John Deere agency in Central Illinois. To prepare for his career, he earned a Bachelor of Science in general engineering with highest honors from the University of Illinois in 1966, and a JD from the University of Louisville in 1970. A registered patent attorney, Mr. Burge has remained at the top of his field through his memberships with the American Bar Association, the Cleveland Municipal Bar Association, the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. Looking ahead to the future, Mr. Burge intends to continue providing top of the line services in the field of patent law.

During years when he did patent search work for the Flight Propulsion Division of General Electric, Mr. Burge obtained a private pilot's license and has long enjoyed flying. During more than 30 years of representing the Illinois Lock Company and CCL Security Products Divisions of The Eastern Company, Mr. Burge became a CRL, a Certified Registered Locksmith, and is a member of ALOA, Associated Locksmiths of America as well as POLA, the Pennsylvania-Ohio Locksmiths Association. Mr. Burge is a woodworker, collects woodworking tools, and is a life member of the Mid-West Tool Collectors Association and the Early American Industries Association.
