Austin Hotel recently appointed seasoned professional Diane Vaughn as new Director of Catering to oversee the hotelˇ¦s sales and convention efforts. Vaughn will also have a key role in the planning and execution of events for the hotelˇ¦s new meeting space, the Glass Oaks ballroom, which opens this summer.

luxury Austin hotel. Diane will oversee a fast-paced and very critical part of the hotel operations. She will play a vital role in working with customers utilizing our new meeting space which will open in June 2008,ˇ¨ commented Rob Gillette, General Manager for the Renaissance Austin Hotel.
She will oversee all aspects of catered events, conventions and banquets held at the hotel to create a unique unforgettable experience, as well as monitor the day-to-day running of the food and beverage department to assure the highest standards are met.
Vaughn brings more than 20 years of experience in the events, culinary and catering industry. Prior positions include the Orlando World Center Marriott, and the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and Riverwalk Hotels, two of Marriott Internationalˇ¦s largest convention center hotels.
