Houston Hotel Greenway Plaza has been named a AAA Four Diamond award winner for the sixth year in a row.
After applying to be evaluated by the AAA, the process is very simple. Soon after, one of the AAA's 65 full-time, highly-trained professionals showed up at the hotel, for an unannounced inspection and overnight visit. The
Houston, TX hotel was then rated on the following criteria: ambiance, amenities, bathrooms, guest rooms, guest services, grounds, housekeeping, maintenance, management, public areas, room d cor and staff.
"Each time we receive this award, we are thrilled," explains Dean Peters, the director of sales and marketing at the Renaissance Houston Hotel. "The AAA does not pass out this award haphazardly, so we know that by receiving it six years in a row, our commitment to superior service is not going unnoticed."
After the 12-point inspection has taken place, the properties that have met all the required standards are rated between one and five diamonds. This year, marks the sixth consecutive year that this
luxury hotel in Houston has been honored with this highly-coveted award.
A mere 3.4 percent of the over 32,000 AAA Rated hotels and 2.7 percent of the 28,000 AAA Rated restaurants were awarded the coveted AAA Four Diamond designations for 2007. The Diamond ratings are included in each hotel and restaurant listing in the Texas TourBook guide, in print and on AAA's Web site at
