The Providence hotel welcomes Beth Whitney to the team!

Whitney, of Whitinsville, MA, as catering sales manager. In her new role, Whitney will coordinate Providence events such as weddings, social soirees, and all corporate catering.

Ms. Whitney was formerly the area account director at the Sheraton Needham and Westin Waltham hotels and the director of sales and marketing for the Sheraton Hotel in Warwick, RI. Whitney's management and catering experience extends throughout hotels in Massachusetts as senior catering sales manager, director of catering, social sales manager and sales manager.

Whitney attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she received her bachelor's degree in hotel restaurant and travel administration along with a minor in marketing.

"Beth's notable past experience, along with her excellent negotiation and decision-making skills, set her apart and will be a significant addition to the Renaissance Providence Hotel as we continue to coordinate weddings and major social and corporate events," says Angelo De Peri, general manager of the Renaissance Providence luxury hotel.
