Renate Strelau Celebrates More Than 40 Years of Historical Research and Artistic Experience

Ms. Strelau has had her work featured all over the world, from California to Virginia to India



    RESEDA, CA, December 15, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Renate Strelau has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Supported by over 40 years of professional excellence, Ms. Strelau serves as a historical researcher and artist, participating in one-woman shows all over the country, including Cafe Espresso in Berkeley, CA, and Riggs Bank in Arlington, VA. For group shows and noteworthy collaborations, she has traveled all over the world including India, Spain, Morocco, Italy and Mexico; she exhibited her outstanding work at Watkins Gallery in Washington and the International Art Exhibit in India. Her work is represented in the permanent C. Law Watkins Memorial Collection at the American University Museum. Earlier in her career, she worked as a research assistant for the Iranian Embassy in Washington. Additionally, at scholarly conferences in Annapolis, MD, and Minneapolis, MN, Ms. Strelau presented path breaking historical research raising the role of art in the flow of international relations. More recently, in 2017, she competed in international Chinese martial arts tournaments in Santa Monica, CA, and Pasadena, CA, performing kung fu as taught by a highly distinguished graduate of the renowned Shaolin Temple in Henan, China.

A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, (Bachelor of Arts in Political Science) and American University in Washington (Master of Arts in United States Diplomacy and Master of Fine Arts in Painting, the Human Figure), Ms. Strelau holds a certificate in Arabic Language Proficiency from Johns Hopkins University. In order to remain active and engaged among her professional circles, she affiliates herself with the American Historical Association, the Organization of American Historians, and The Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations.

Beyond her status as an esteemed and long-standing figure in her field, Ms. Strelau has been awarded many times for her professional endeavors. Since the mid-1990s, Ms. Strelau has been featured in many editions of Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World.
